Gert-Jan van de Kamp

Gert-Jan van de Kamp

His artworks are varied as he doesn’t want to pin down on one style or use only one material..He prefers to keep all options open and with the intention to explore! From photorealistic to abstract.
His photographic painted women are serene and pure. The glances these women have…. it’s amazing! You have to have his women around you! The abstract artworks are giving depth and are beautiful with the expressive use of colours.

Gert-Jan van de Kamp (1962) was born and raised in Veghel, The Netherlands. He was always creative, but as of 2000 even more through classes and workshops. He graduated with honour from The Academy of Fine Arts in Arendonk, Belgium.

In his daily life Gert-jan is operating as a project leader, aimed on industrialization of (hightech) complex and innovative modules and systems. The painting provides a perfect balance with his daily technical/exact work. During his painting sessions his attention go to the canvas, the paint, the brushes to create new artworks. This works relaxing, but at the same time it’s giving him energy, which is making it hard for him to stop..

A part of his job excists of portraits of women, children and men. His female portraits are from different cultures and often have something serene or melancholic. His childportraits can have a moving story behind it.

As he is a painter, he looks with a different eye to the art of other artists. He admires all the different art periods, but mostly the Golden century. With Rembrandt as one of his favourites.
